Russell Nelson Deceivingly Says the Prophet Will Not Lead Us Astray and We Should Always Follow Him

At a worldwide devotional for young adults in January, 2016, Russell Nelson deceivingly declared that the prophet will never lead members astray and that they should always follow him. This includes following the prophet when his teachings contradict our understanding of the world around us.

Russell Nelson hoped that his quoting of Harold B. Lee would supposedly give his message more authority, but in reality that just helps us remember what Nephi said in 2 Nephi 28:31: “Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men, save their precepts shall be given by the power of the Holy Ghost.”

He also said the prophet foresees dangers. It is a travesty that many members followed his urging in 2021 and received the “godsend” jab which injured or killed them. President Nelson did not forsee the immediate danger of taking it, but instead fully embraced the evil designs of Babylon to ensare the world with its poisonous sorceries (Revelation 18:23: “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries [pharmekea] were all nations deceived.”)
