At the Bountiful Utah Central Stake Conference held recently, LDS Seventy Kevin Pearson heaps spiritual abuse on church members. First, he uses his religious mantle to unfairly condemn and shut down sincere concerns. Then later he unrighteously passes judgment on missionaries and their parents. This fulfills Ezekiel 22: 25: “There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls…”
LDS Church Seventy Kevin Pearson Spiritual Abuses Members at Bountiful Utah Stake Conference
0:37 – To start off, Kevin Pearson cynically and sarcastically uses his bully pulpit to seek to control the pandemic “remedy” narrative. He condemns a former 70 and mission and stake president for his concerns about the brethren’s urging of the “safe and effective” mark, going against Paul’s admonition in Philippians 2:3: “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Vainglory defines those who are conceited, boastful, and full of themselves, as is being done here by Kevin Pearson.
2:42 – Also, Kevin Pearson speaks in a ridiculing manner about missionaries asking how to recognize the Holy Ghost, and then he has the audacity to imply this is the missionary’s parents fault. This is unrighteous dominion, according to D&C 121:37-39. Most LDS members, including leaders, did not receive the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost at 8 years of age, which requires one to come to the Lord with a broken heart and contrite spirit, laying their all upon the altar of sacrifice and receiving personal revelation and commandments from the Lord. This is the true new and everlasting covenant. The LDS church does not teach this important doctrine of Christ, nor how to enter into it and how to recognize revelation. Kevin Pearson is supposed to be a watchman in the Lord’s vineyard, but in reality, is a wolf who does not even hide in sheep’s clothing.
