At the April 2022 general conference, Russell Nelson dreams about following the covenant path, but misses teaching us about the Doctrine of Christ and entering into the new and everlasting covenant. Then he talks about Moses receiving the second comforter and ignores instructing us how we can also receive this. This fulfills Jeremiah 23:25-26: “I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart.”
Russell Nelson Dreams Amiss & Ignores Teaching 2nd Comforter When Quoting Moses in Book of Abraham
0:28 – First, Russell Nelson tells us to get on the covenant path, which he describes as being baptized, taking the sacrament to remember Christ and keeping His commandments. This is a good start, but he doesn’t teach us anything about entering into the new and everlasting covenant of coming unto Christ with a broken heart and contrite spirit and receiving the baptism of Fire and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.
2:01 – Then he says we need to discern between God and Satan and gives us the example of Moses encountering Satan after he just had a face to face interaction with God, receiving his second comforter experience. Moses tells Satan he only worships God and commands him to depart. Russell Nelson tells us to use this as our example for discerning spirits and learning about God. However, he does not teach us how we also need to have this second comforter experience in this life, just like Moses did, which is a major step in ascending in the Doctrine of Christ.
4:04 – Lastly, Russell Nelson tells us to forgive others and end conflicts in our lives. This could be interpreted as asking the members to end their opposition against the church’s positions on the first presidency pandemic letter and its alignment with worldwide satanic organizations, such as the U.N.
